What you're doing now is easily as significant a move as the one you made when you became a pastor. I would guess you've gone through some pain to reach this decision and some grief after having done so. This is an old friend saying I understand, and I support you. I anticipate a lot of great work resulting from this. You are not the institution. We are not required to be the institution in order to do the work we feel we need to do. In fact, when the people occupying the structure become the structure--incapable of reason, insular, degrading, then it should probably empty out to the mere architecture for a while until a better use is found…
