Years ago, I was sitting in my therapy space with two facilitators next to me, as they asked me to recall a "safe place" to revisit - or to picture in my mind. Immediately my heart raced to the beach in Melbourne, Florida where for two weeks each summer our family vacationed with another family. They would go to work, while we would go to the beach, riding the waves, reading books together in the lifeguard chair, or taking naps in the sand. Or, there was another place I could recall as well.

Love this!
Sending you light and love for each day. Working through trauma....event and developmental is hard work and often we don't give ourselves the grace and self-love we need to be "ok" in the darkness of it. Time, intentionality, and seeking the people who we are safe and supported by help us when the days seem long and tough. Keep shining that empathic, loving, and mindful heart you have that so many of us know and see. You are beautiful, talented, precious, and loved.
